Embarking on his musical journey
with such illustrious names as Ronnie Hawkins and the Greaseball
Boogie band, not to mention its transformation into the band
Shooter, Ray Harrison's musical career has taken him to some
very lofty heights indeed.
His musical career hit its penultimate peak while
performing and recording with the world-renown Canadian rock
band Crowbar, an off-shoot of what once was Ronnie Hawkins'
former back-up band (a repeat of the saga behind the seminal
roots-rock super group, The Band).
Currently the musical director for the Downchild
Blues band and frequent studio session cat, he resides in Simcoe,
Ontario, not far from the Danko family compound. Wank Punter
was fortunate enough to snare him while he was having a moments
respite from the dogged schedule he maintains.
As a Punterite, he's managed to fit in rather
well, sharing the joys and hobbies of his stage mates with
the jois devivre of a man half his age! |
