Fans will get to decide how much they want to pay when K-OS takes his Yes! Karma Tour across Canada this spring.
The Toronto hip-hop artist is playing 10 shows from April 30 to May 16, and there will be no advance ticket sales. Instead, each show will be free to enter on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, fans are encouraged to make a “Karma” donation once they get inside, with three locations to choose from: a “Karma table,” a cash-only drop box and a third location where they can make a donation to the David Suzuki Foundation.
In keeping with the karmic theme, they will then receive a free copy of the “Yes! It’s Yours” remix album. The disc will be released as a companion to K-OS’ “Yes!” album when it hits stores next Tuesday.

The Col. says:
Noble, non-materialistic venture, or annoying cattle-call, promoter hell, catastrofuck that will devalue one of the last ways for musicians to make a living?
For those in the know, Trent Reznor took a bath on his side project whereby he allowed downloaders the choice to pay what they could afford. The end result? About 18% chose to pay. Curious to know if this little marketing conflagration is being secretly financed by someone with a mitigating interest, whatever that could possibly be.
