The Birth of Wank Punter
Wank Punter officially
becomes a band. The agreement is hammered out over
brews and buds down at the now official WP Bunker
based in the Gobbler's Knob of Ontario, Turkey Point.
If you're wondering where the hell that is, it's
pissing distance from Jim Atkinson's home (formerly
of Ronnie Hawkins, Bearfoot) and Rick Danko's (formerly
of The Band) family farm/homestead in Simcoe Ontario.
And if you were also
wondering, yeah, it's a musical hotbed for some reason
or another. Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson (formerly
of The Band) grew up not too far away in London.
Several others have sprouted from the region (too
many to post here - anyway, this is about us so do
a Google search if ya really need to know!) and have
gone on to fame and fortune. Could we be next? Now
where'd that farkin' Blarney stone go...?
